Biography

Amin Moosaie received his BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran, in 2006. He earned his MSc degree in Computational Mechanics and his PhD degree in Fluid Dynamics and Aerodynamics from Technische Universität München (TUM), Germany, in 2008 and 2011, respectively. He then started post-doctoral studies at TUM in the same subject, during which he took a sabbatical leave to the Polymer Physics Department at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich (ETH-Zurich), Switzerland for three months in the summer 2011. He joined the Mechanical Engineering Department of Yasouj University, Iran, as a faculty member in 2012, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. He serves as an editor of the Coupled Systems Mechanics journal and was on the scientific board of several domestic and international conferences. He is the Khwarizmi Award laureate of 2006 and has supervised the best MSc thesis of year 2015 as elected by the Iranian Society of Mechanical Engineers (ISME).

Research Interest

Computational Mechanics, Continuum Mechanics, Turbulence Simulation (DNS/LES), Computational Rheology Drag Reduction and Polymer Dynamics in Fluid Flows.
